Rosy Up Containers
Invite magenta-toned flowering plants into container plantings for a bright upgrade. Proven Winners’ Supertunia in Royal Magenta continuously rebloom and are pretty spillers or fillers in pots. Across the board, there is a wide selection of magenta blooming plants, such as peonies and roses. Another way we work on-trend colors into the landscape is with the containers themselves.
Move Magenta into Seating Spaces
Just like inside the home, we can infuse hints of magenta into outdoor living areas with some of the same design elements used to update a look in the living or dining room. Throw pillows designed for exterior use can introduce the color without a commitment, for example. Outdoor rugs that include splashes of magenta provide that true outdoor room feeling and leverage Pantone’s Color of the Year.
Add Viva Magenta Annuals to the Landscape
Annuals are a great way to introduce fresh colors and textures into landscape beds, and you can always decide to change it up the next season. In landscape areas that will include annuals, we like to layer plantings in a couple of different ways. First, we will build tiers with low-lying plants at the bottom, mid-sized varieties in the center, and tall selections in the back. We also consider the texture and include different shapes of blooms and foliage. Bloom time is also important, so in beds that will incorporate annuals, we assure that there is a dynamic backdrop of perennials and/or shrubs that keep the bed interesting.
